About YŌKAN

It’s a deep, dark brown reminiscent of brown sugar.
Rather than the typical reddish azuki hue of yokan (sweet bean jelly), this color leans closer to black, carrying a quiet weight.
We intentionally chose the name Yokan instead of “Chocolate,” drawing from the familiar tones of traditional Japanese sweets.
When lit, the lamp itself gains a strong, sculptural presence—standing as an object within your living space.

The chasen, a bamboo whisk used in Japanese tea ceremonies,

Its form carries more than just function — it holds a sense of warmth and gentle beauty.

We created a lamp that reflects that feeling in light.

It’s called the “Chasen-mitaina Lamp” — literally, a lamp like a chasen.
Simple as that.

It isn’t a light that shines brightly.
It’s a light that lives gently with the darkness,
one that quietly reminds you of the beauty of simply being there.
